Fang-A-Thon Day 18: Happy Memorial Day (via @VampKingBill)

I would like to take a moment out of the celebration of many things vampire and remember those that have served our country in any number of ways.

I lost many friends while fighting in the Civil War. While they all might not approve of all the changes to our fine country over the past 150 years, I would like to think they would still ultimately be proud of how we came back together again. I would also like to take a moment to recognize the many vampires that have served us in the Great Wars, in Korea, Vietnam and our more recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Although we could not fight by the light of day does not mean that we could not ultimately help. And whether it was on the front line, the supply line, or by providing the tools and weapons that our brave men and women used many have played their part and just like humans, many have made that ultimate sacrifice while doing so.

So please, I hope that everyone, human or vampire, takes this opportunity to reflect on and remember the service of the brave men and women, human and otherwise on this day of remembrance.

Thank you.

Trailer Number 2 (via @Aly_x)

I love you, TB writers, but I didn’t need to see what I assume is a mangled, bloody Russell Edgington wrapped in a large piece of cloth…ew guys! 😦 I guess that’s where they filmed the creepy hospital scene? Idk, I’m just guessing here!

It was, however, useful to get a bit more context to the speech leading up to the whole ‘angel of death’ thing, those words were so strange coming from Lafayette as he’s always loved Sook, but I can understand his anger. What set that little rant off? It looks like it took place at work rather than in private at home.

Jess messing with Steve Newlin? I’m curious as to what that’s about and what’s going to happen to him, I also want to know what Steve wants with Jason…revenge for sleeping with his wife? or does he actually want some help?

I wanna know why Alcide is crying…he’s wayyy too manly to cry, was it because he found out about Sook killing Debbie? Or was it because she used him? Personally I hope it’s because Sook used him, Debbie is nothing to cry over in all fairness….

Seeing Eric being trapped by a silver net and hearing him cry out in pain breaks my heart, poor baby 😦

Chris Meloni – let me love you<33 he’s even more beautiful covered in blood after staking someone.

I wanna know how Nora plays into this, how did she get to Bill and Eric? Why is she there? (other than being Eric’s sister of course) and why is she going against The Authority if she was one of them? Also, what or who caused the massive explosion? SO MANY QUESTIONS. oh and why is Eric kissing Nora. No darling, Sookie should be the only one you’re kissing, even if she is being difficult at the moment.

Hoyt covered in blood? I have a feeling he’s joined the FOTS and is now killing off vampires in revenge and hatred towards Jessica. Maybe it’s something else though…interesting to see such a light character take such a dark turn.

Ahhh Russell Edgington, you crazy and wonderfully wacky man. We all know though you don’t wanna gorge on human blood, it’s Fae blood your after 😉 I’m curious about what goes down in NO. they looked like they were having fun filming there.

Oh. FAVOURITE QUOTE SO FAR?

‘A three thousand year old vampire wants to suck my blood. Must be Thursday!’

whoever wrote that into the script…

I was crying with laughter for a good ten minutes. Ohhh I love you<333

I Wanna Do Bad Things With You (via @mswriteok)

Every time I hear Jace Everett breathe those opening words, “When you came in the air went out,” my heart starts to race and my mind runs towards all the possibilities of what I’ll be seeing for the next hour or so. “I wanna do bad things with you.” Oh yeah, baby. I’d love to know who first thought of this cut for the opening credits of “True Blood.” It’s simply brilliant. While the fast-cuts and bizarre images flash by, I love that baritone voice implying all kinds of nasty treats in store for me. Think of what we’ve seen so far. Bill seducing an innocent Sookie. He’s the first man who has seriously paid attention to her where she had no idea of what would happen next. When she said, “Yes” to him, she gave herself to him utterly, body and blood. Eric, seeing Bill has someone strangely and utterly beguiling on his arm when Sookie makes her first visit to “Fangtasia,” becomes another willing victim to Sookie’s fey charm. He begins plotting to get Sookie at that second. Eric gets some blood into Sookie in a devious way, using guilt as a weapon after he saves her life in the explosion at Godric’s house. Yes, Eric, that’s a “Bad Thing.” My all-time favorite “True Blood” scene is Sookie’s erotic dream featuring Eric. After some wonderful pillow talk, my to-this-day favorite line of the series comes. “I am a darling.” Oh Miss Stackhouse, you surely are. Her wiles go farther than vampires, as we all know. Sam was sweet on her for years. Alcide would have succumbed but their timing has always been off. Still, they show a lot of his wereskin, and oh my, what dirty little thoughts float through my head.

The Season 4 scene with naked Eric and Alcide nearly hyperventilated me. Now, that’s truly bad, and I loved every second of it. Didn’t you? “I don’t know who you think you are but before this night is through I wanna do bad things with you. I wanna do real bad things with you.”
Yum, Season 5 here I come.

True Blood 30-Night Fangathon - Day 18Character I REALLY Don’t Want To See On True Blood Sorry Quinn fans but I’m not part of your legion. The genie pants, the dry humping in the kitchen, calling Sookie ‘Babe’ all the time.“Are you ready, babe? You sound ready. You feel ready.”Ugh! Amateur!I will say something good about Quinn. Sookie and Quinn’s escape into the swamp is pretty cool and they did make a good team in that instant. That said, I didn’t mind at all when Eric broke Quinn’s jaw in Dead and Gone.

Russell’s HONGRAY. (via @TBconfid)

Let’s kick off with some talk about Promo #2 from Sunday night.

Is that Lafayette telling Sookie off or is he channeling Tara, she could still be in vampembryo form in the ground when he is saying this? It could just be Lala speaking his mind as we love him to do but I’m keeping an open mind on this, they have pulled hat tricks before and will again, I’m sure.
Skarsgardfans has screencaps up for the Conjuring S4 video as well as hi-def caps for this latest video (and all the others), so hit up B’s site to see more.

A Memorial Day Tribute (via @QueenFaeMab)

Let’s start with the town of Bon Temps. There are many descendants of Civil War veterans and members of the historical society “Descendants of the Glorious Dead.” Even the mayor’s great-grandfather lived during the Civil War.

Then there’s William T. Compton. In 1860, he went off to serve as First Lieutenant in the 28th Louisiana Infantry for the Civil War.

And we also have Terry Bellefleur. He is Gulf War veteran who served in Iraq, in particular Fallujah. During his tour of duty, he has claimed to have shot and killed 20 Iraqis. Like many veterans, he has psychological and emotional issues from what he witnessed and did while serving in the war.

Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all who have served to protect this country.

Where the hell is Wally’s garage? (via @JBDuRoneTB)

I speak as an authority on this matter; any small, Southern town would have a Wally’s Garage or some variant thereof. (You know, Gomer worked there)

It’s populated by grimy, but honest shade tree mechanics. They are friendly, know everyone and eek out a living by charging the bare minimum. However, when an outsider (especially Yankees) come to town, they pay full boat and take the longest to repair. I like those folks!

But where is Wally’s in Bon Temp? Surely Gran needed her car worked on before; somebody is holding Tara’s POS together. Jason must have bought tires for his truck there. Sam’s classic will take constant work (I know, I have that curse too).

My dream job; relocate to Bon Temp and start a garage. Sell cold Cokes (not pop or soda; although it means the same thing), have chairs for regulars to hang out and pray for the day some damned Yankee breaks down.

We’ll be eating high off the hog that day, boy!

Budding Romance? (via @DarlingSookie)

Since the Season 4 finale everyone has been asking what is going to happen to Tara. It was confirmed that she would be back and now we get to ponder over the how.

My guess has always been that Tara will be turned and now with the latest edition of TV Guide beside me, I almost feel for certain that my fanfiction, Cursed that one first place in the Preternatural Post’s Fated Contest, might have hit the mark.

According to TV Guide:

Tara

(Rutina Wesley)

R.I.P.? Not this tortured soul. Sookie’s BFF, shot dead in the season finale, will be back. “She’s not happy with Sookie.” exec producer Alan Ball says. “And she’s going to experience a growing intimacy with the last person she would ever have expected.”

Okay, so that pretty much doesn’t prove my point, but if you continue reading, you will see where I’m going with this.

Pam

(Kristin Bauer Van Straten)

“There’s a new vampire in her life,” Ball teases. He/She will fill the void while maker Eric is MIA. Flashbacks later in the season will tell the story of the pair’s 1905 meeting. Says Ball, “You’ll see how Pam was made.”

Hm.. New vampire in her life? And the last person Tara would ever expect to have an intimate relationship (besides yours truly), is Pam. Pam’s known to be open-minded when it comes to sex with both sexes and as of last season, so is Tara.

What do y’all think about this theory? Will Tara be turned and possibly can she and Pam find their redemption while in the throes of a romantic tryst?

Favorite Quote (via @TB_PamR)

There’s vampire in your cleavage.

I have so many great lines, it’s had to settle on just one. But, since I’m getting a little sick of top ten lists, I managed it. -smirks-

I chose this line from the very first season of True Blood because, to me, it epitomizes everything I am and want to be: Droll, sexy, smart, devious and classy. And no, not necessarily in that order. -smirks- I also love this line because I got to put my hand done Sookie’s shirt before Eric did.

OK, that might have been a little petty. But it isn’t that often that I get the jump on my Maker and I’m entitled to enjoy it on those rare occasions when it does happen. It also let’s me mention my favorite book quote which is my answer when Sookie asks why I’ve been teasing Eric so much lately: “He usually doesn’t give me this much ammunition.”

Day 18: Favourite Book (via @Eric_NorthmanTB)

My favourite book if Sookie Stackhouse books is “All Together Dead”. I loved learning more about the vampire politics and I think that this book had a huge development for Sookie and Eric in their relationship. Not just because of their bonding but I think Sookie and Eric finally came to terms with their feelings for each other. This is the one book in the series that I could read over and over again.

O is for… (via @TrueBloodMame)

Oath – something Eric takes very seriously

– The real question is: Can I trust you? You turned on your own queen. And now that I’ve freed your feisty little ward how do I know you won’t sell me out as well?

– Because I have been searching for you for a thousand years. A true leader. One strong enough to unite us all. I believed my maker, Godric, was such a vampire, but he was weak. He succumbed to his humanity, and it killed him. Dispatching the Magister it proved without a doubt that my search it has finally ended.

– That was rash and foolish.

– It was brave and uncompromising. Vampires have yearned for someone to stand up to the tyranny of the Authority for centuries. Just give me the chance and I will show you just how deep my loyalty runs.
